THE old year may be drawing to a close soon but Ilminster Arts Centre is already looking ahead to an action-packed 2020, not least because it will be celebrating its 25th birthday.
From classical concerts to jazz gigs and folk nights, art exhibitions, craft workshops, a vintage textile fair, jazz jam sessions and a fundraising race night, there is always something interesting going on at the Arts Centre.
For those wanting to get creative the Arts Centre now offers more workshops than ever before to choose from, including several ‘upcycling’ workshops that tackle the issue of overconsumption. Learn how to mend broken jewellery or transform it into a new heirloom, upcycle an old silk tie into a beautiful bead necklace or reap the therapeutic benefits of mindful ‘slow stitching’.
