THREE classical music stars are joining forces for a special fundraising mini tour thanks to Concerts in the West.

Andrew Marriner (clarinet), Alasdair Beatson (piano) and Michael Petrov (cello) are all established performers individually, but on this occasion they will be playing together specially to raise funds for Concerts in the West.

Andrew is a remarkable, world renowned clarinettist whose skill and musicianship have earned him universal acclaim. During his orchestral career Andrew has maintained a presence on the worldwide solo concert platform, in the field of chamber music, and as a teacher.

Scottish pianist Alasdair works prolifically as a soloist and chamber musician. He champions a wide repertoire and his particular areas of interest include: Beethoven, Brahms, Mendelssohn, Schubert and Schumann, as well as many others. Alasdair Beatson is also a patron and a great supporter of Concerts in the West.

Michael is an esteemed cellist who was an ECHO Rising Star in the 2015/16 season. Michael has performed at major concert halls including the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Cité de la Musique Paris and more. As a soloist Michael has appeared with the Philharmonia, Bournemouth Symphony and CBSO Youth Orchestras.

The concerts will take place on January 17 in Bridport and Ilminster and in Crewkerne on January 18.
