RECENTLY, the House of Commons voted down a plan to work with the EU help reunite unaccompanied child refugees with UK families.
Our own MP voted to break this commitment, granted by Theresa May’s government in 2018, to work with the EU to give refugee children sanctuary.
What is this country coming to when we refuse to do all we can to help children abandoned in the aftermath of natural disaster or war but instead leave them to the mercy of people traffickers or worse?
