CALL OUT: Crews were called to Henson Park last night
POLICE are investigating a suspected arson attack at a property in Chard.
Firefighters were called to Henson Park in Chard last night (Saturday, February 1) at 6.36pm after reports a vehicle on fire within a garage.
The crews from Axminster and Ilminster promptly got to work extinguishing the fire using two breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets.
The car was completely destroyed by the fire, and the garage was 70 per cent damaged.
The incident commander requested for the police as this was believed to be a deliberate ignition.
