FIRE crews rushed to a block of 20 garages in Taunton after a deliberate car fire in the early hours of the morning.
Two fire engines from Taunton were sent to Midford Road at shortly after 2.30am this morning (February 17).
A spokesman for Devon and Somerset Fire Service said: "Upon arrival crews confirmed one single garage within a block of 20 garages to be well alight containing one car.
"Crews requested a further fire appliance which was sent from Taunton.
"Crews extinguished the fire using six breathing apparatus, two hose feel jets, one compressed air foam jet, two thermal image cameras and one triple extension ladder.
"Crews checked neighbouring garages for fire spread."
Police were also in attendance, said the fire service spokesman, and the cause is believed to be deliberate.
