KIND hearted school staff have delivered hundreds of pairs of goggles to Musgrove Park Hospital for staff to use during the coronavirus crisis

Science teacher Baylea Charles from The King Alfred School Academy in Highbridge collected the goggles before taking them to Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton.

The school said it donated the goggles to the hospital as it 'desperately needs items and equipment' to help prepare for a surge in patients.

The secondary school uses them for science lessons, but they will now be used for dealing with patients.

Nathan Jenkins, principal of The King Alfred School, said: “We are a passionate community school and our students and staff regularly show their caring and kindness to respond to the needs of others.

"We want to help the NHS during these extremely difficult times”
