A LORRY transporting thousands of litres of liquid nitrogen caught fire on the M5 at Taunton.
Firefighters tackled the blaze near Taunton Deane Services at 9.15pm yesterday (Monday).
An environmental protection unit along with three fire engines and a water carrier were sent to the incident.
After extinguishing the fire, crews remained at the scene to monitor for perimeter cooling and to make the site and the LGV safe.
The incident was left in the hands of the police.
