ANOTHER death due to coronavirus has been confirmed in Somerset.
The latest figures (May 9) show a further death within Somerset NHS Foundation Trust, which runs Musgrove Park Hospital.
The total deaths related to coronavirus within the Somerset County Council area now stands at 59.
The county's death toll is comprised of 37 people in the care of Somerset NHS Foundation Trust, which was established through the merger of Somerset Foundation Trust and Taunton and Somerset NHS Foundation Trust, based at Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton; 19 in hospital in Yeovil; and three at Weston General Hospital.
A total of 563 people in the county council area have tested positive for the virus.
213 in Somerset West and Taunton Council area, 153 in Sedgemoor, 146 in South Somerset, and 51 in Mendip.
