A POLICE officer lied to his superiors after he failed to turn up to give a presentation he had been instructed to do, a disciplinary panel will hear.
PC Dave Adams faces an Avon and Somerset misconduct hearing on July 6-8 for allegedly breaching the standards of professional behaviour.
It is claimed that he gave a "dishonest, misleading and inaccurate" account to a chief inspector and his manager of why he failed to attend an event to give the presentation
The hearing will also be told that PC Adams also sought to deflect blame from himself and told his manager untruthfully that he did not work from home.
