A Somerset West and Taunton Council spokesman said: "The bridge is being given a facelift with paint to remove some graffiti, a touch up of the anti-slip surface and repair to the handrail.
"A contractor is currently on site."
A FOOTBRIDGE in a Taunton park that was closed for several weeks last summer has been fenced off again.
People are currently unable to use the bridge connecting Goodland Gardens with the Museum of Somerset and Castle Green area.
A notice informs the public: "We apologise for any inconvenience caused whilst these essential refurbishment works are being carried out."
The bridge was closed for repairs for a period from last July after a handrail was damaged.
It was re-opened in January this year.
We have approached Somerset West and Taunton Council for a comment.
