THE boss of Ask Italian in Taunton have yet to announced when the restaurant will re-open following lockdown.

The company is planning to phase the re-opening of its restaurants to ensure staff and customers are as safe as possible.

Managing director Chris Holmes said some Ask Italians will start serving up pasta and pizzas "very soon", while others will take longer.

He said: "The day is almost here when we can invite you back in and we couldn’t be more excited.

"We are now working on plans for a phased re-opening of our restaurants, based on the government guidance of course.

"The safety and well-being of our customers, team members and the wider communities surrounding our restaurants will continue to remain our number one priority.

"Some of our restaurants will be open very soon, but others will be holding on just a little bit longer and we are busy finalising the opening plans so we can let you know when your local restaurant will re-open and when you can book your table.

"Please continue to stay safe and bear with us as we work to get your restaurant reopened in the right way.

"We really can’t wait to see you all again soon and get back to doing what we love, creating great catch-ups over your favourite dishes."
