MEATBALL fans rejoice!
IKEA has announced some of its restaurants are to re-open this week - including at the Exeter store.
People can get their fill of meatballs and hot dogs from July 27.
"We’ve been working hard to create a safe and comfortable dining experience for you and our co-workers which means the same great meatballs (and our new plant balls), but the experience will be a little different so you can visit with complete peace of mind," said a spokesperson.
So how is it going to work?
The Scandanavian furniture giant has outlined a new system for people using the restaurant. Here's how it works...
Booking
Restaurants will be open from 11am – 7pm and numbers will be limited.
As you enter the store, you can book a time to eat. A few details will be taken for Test and Trace purposes.
Seating
People should arrive at the restaurant at their reservation time and wait to be shown to a table.
Hand sanitisers will be on offer throughout the restaurant area.
Ordering
You’ll be given a menu, then be asked to go to the till to order and pay.
A co-worker will then bring your food (including cutlery, drinks and condiments).
After your meal
When you’ve finished, simply follow the one-way system out. Staff will clear and clean your table before the next booking.
However, for those not interested in eating or shopping in-store just yet, IKEA's online shop - with contact-free delivery - is on offer.
