A WOMAN from Walney has been charged with perverting the course of justice.
Eleanor Williams, 19, of Teasdale Road, Walney, is currently on remand having been charged previously with seven counts of perverting the course of justice by making false allegations of rape, trafficking and sexual assaults between 2017 and 2019. She is due to appear at Preston Crown Court on November 23.
She is also due to appear before Preston Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, September 30 in respect of the new charge.
The new charge relates to an offence alleged to have been committed on May 19, 2020.
