A WOMAN claims she was punched in the face during an altercation involving a young man.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the reported assault in a Yeovil Street.

The incident is said to have taken place near the F. J. Chalke Nissan/Kia garage in Seaton Road, at 10.20am last Wednesday (October 7).

The woman, in her 40s, was wearing a high-vis top and ear defenders.

Her alleged attacker is described as aged 20 to 30, about 5ft 6ins tall and stocky with black hair. He was wearing tracksuit bottoms and a blue padded jacket.
