A MOTORCYLCIST has been rushed to hospital after a crash in Taunton town centre.
Emergency services were called to Tangier Way at around 3.20pm following the collision.
The South Western Ambulance Service reached the scene first, and called officers from Avon and Somerset Police to assist with a road closure.
A spokesman for the ambulance service said they were called at 3.19am, where they treated a male patient before transported him to hospital.
A spokesman for the police force confirmed that they had been called to the scene at 3.45pm.
They added: "It involved a collision between a car and motorcyclist and the motorcyclist has been taken to hospital."
The condition of the motorcyclist is currently not known.
Tangier Way remains closed to vehicles.
