AN emergency road closure is in place between two Somerset towns.
The A30 at Windwhistle, between Chard and Crewkerne, has been closed this afternoon (Wednesday) and will remain closed overnight.
The reason for the closure is a tree that appears at risk of falling into the road.
A spokesperson for Travel Somerset said: "The A30 Windwhistle, between Chard and Crewkerne, will need to be closed now and overnight due to a tree in a dangerous condition and is likely to fall into the road.
"Weather conditions are currently very poor and foggy with poor visibility."
