THERE were single figure increases in new confirmed Covid-19 cases in all four Somerset districts in the latest 24-hour period.
There were six positive tests in South Somerset, which has seen a total of 5,414 confirmed cases since the start of the pandemic.
Somerset West and Taunton recorded four new cases (overall total 5,935).
There were nine positive tests in Sedgemoor (overall total 5,329)
And Mendip had three confirmed cases (overall total 3,435).
The infection rates based on the latest rolling seven-day figures in each district are South Somerset 36.2 people per 100,000 of population (down from 44.6 yesterday); SWT 18.1 (down from 18.7); Sedgemoor 39 (down from 42.2); and Mendip 13.8 (up from 13).
The death of a person within 28 days of testing positive for the virus has been recorded in Sedgemoor in the latest 24-hour period.
The total deaths in each district since the start of the pandemic are South Somerset 151; SWT 202; Sedgemoor 155; Mendip 160.
