A POLICE chase took place yesterday, following which a man was arrested for multiple offences - including Class A drug offences and money laundering.
The man was pursued by police in the Gillingham area yesterday evening after he failed to stop his BMW when requested.
The driver was then detained and arrested for Class A drug offences, money laundering and for not having a driving licence or insurance.
He was known to police and is a local policing target as he has previously failed to attend court.
The vehicle was seized and the man is currently in custody.
A spokesman for North Dorset Police said: "Last night North Dorset patrol officers in Gillingham had a pursuit with a BMW which initially failed to stop.
"The driver was detained and arrested for Class A drug offences, money laundering and having no licence or insurance.
"He was also a local policing target as he had failed to attend court. The vehicle was seized and male in custody."
