THE driver of a taxi with a bulging tyre has had their licence suspended.
Another cabbie suffered the same fate after they were caught with a faulty meter.
And a third driver was handed a rectification notice, meaning they need to carry out repairs to their vehicle.
The incidents happened during police taxi compliance checks in Taunton and Yeovil on Friday night (December 3).
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police's road safety policing unit said: "We conducted further taxi compliance checks in Yeovil and Taunton.
"A positive evening of engagement and enforcement action with two licences immediately suspended for defects (faulty meter and bulged tyre) and one rectification notice issued."
