POLICE say "words fail us" after stopping a rogue driver for a second time within a couple of weeks a previous motoring offence.
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police roads policing unit said the motorist was pulled over in early December for allegedly failing to stop and driving dangerously to evade pursuing officers.
The driver was arrested and reported for dangerous driving and driving without insurance, while the vehicle was seized, leading to "disqualification, fines and recovery".
Then on Friday (December 31) police using Automatic Number Plate Recognition technology (ANPR) picked up a different vehicle using the same plates as the previously seized vehicle.
"Words fail us," said the spokesperson on social media.
"ANPR eyes saw same plate used on diff vehicle y'day (Friday). Caused to stop.
"No ins, no MoT, no tax. Same driver. Due for ANOTHER appearance at court soon, now with added fraud.
"Veh(icle) seized. Plates seized."
