EVACUATION: The horses are led from the lorry
POLICE from Crewkerne blocked off a road last night (Wednesday, January 19) to assist an equine emergency.
Officers from the Crewkerne NEIGHbourhood Policing team were sent to the incident on the A356.
A number of horses had to be evacuated from the lorry they were being transported in due to an illness in one of the animals.
The team closed the road and arranged the horses move and relocation.
PC Charlotte Taylor, who was off duty, was called out to help "due to her expertise in horses".
