MORE details have emerged of the reason behind three damaged cars being taped off by police in a Taunton street.
The vehicles had been left in St Augustine Street from late on Sunday (January 23) until yesterday (Wednesday).
Police say a car being driven along the street was in collision with parked vehicles.
A woman has been arrested and charged with drink driving.
An Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson said: "We were called at just before 10pm on Sunday (January 23) to St Augustine Street in Taunton after a car was in collision with parked vehicles.
“A 48-year-old woman was arrested and has been charged with driving a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
"She’s been released on unconditional bail to attend Taunton Magistrates’ Court on February 7.”
