A MOTORIST caught speeding on the M5 between Taunton and Wellington has been hammered with court costs of over £2,200.
Christopher White, 39, pleaded guilty at Taunton Magistrates' Court to the offence committed on February 26 last year.
The court heard White, of Seymour Street, Wellington, was clocked doing 110mph on the 70mph stretch of the motorway southbound between Junction 25 (Taunton) and the Taunton Deane Services.
He was fined £1,939 with a £190 victim surcharge and £90 costs.
As well as the overall £2,219 bill, he received six penalty points on his licence.
