Somerset supermarkets are getting into the spirit of things as they prepare to welcome revellers attending the Glastonbury Festival.

Hundreds of thousands of revellers will be heading to Worthy Farm, in Pilton, for the event, which gets underway on Wednesday (June 22).

The event brings an estimated £6 million into the Somerset economy each year it's on - and stores in the surrounding area are keen to cash in.

Tesco in Glastonbury is leading the way, according to fans, with a display showcasing festival essentials such as tents, inflatable chairs and of course, cider.

The display at the Wirral Park store also incorporates the famous Glastonbury sign.

Revellers making their way to the festival site are regular shoppers - stocking up on vital supplies en route.

Because of this, Sainsbury's in nearby Street has also been stocking up the things festival-goers will be on the hunt for.

Based along the A37, it will see tens of thousands of vehicles pass by on their way to Worthy, and has stacks of water, lager, beer and cider, spilling out of the drinks section into neighbouring aisles and even into the foyer.
