TAUNTON is one of the destinations in a marathon eight-day sponsored cycle ride.
The sixth leg of the Wooden Spoon End 2 End Challenge runs from Monmouth to Taunton, crossing the Severn and Avonmouth Bridges before heading for the county town via Highbridge.
The ride starts on Saturday, August 23, at Wick, in Scotland, arriving at Land's End a week later.
Around 30 cyclists are expected to take to the saddle for the 882-mile cycle, with each rider hoping to raise £2,500 for mentally, physically and socially disadvantaged children, young people and their families.
