ORGANISERS hope to attract more than 500 runners for the Wellington Ten on Sunday, July 20.
The event starts and finishes at Wellington Sports Centre/Rugby Club, in Corams Lane, with the unpopular lanes removed as the race makes its way to Milverton.
There will be plenty for the whole family, with live music, food, a bar, children's entertainment, climbing wall, bouncy castle and more.
The ten-mile run starts at 10.30am to the sound of Skin Tight Samba band, followed by a 10k race from 10.40am.
The less energetic will be able to use a soft play area in the sports centre or swim for half price.
After the race, music will be supplied by Bloody Mary's and Arcadia, in conjunction with The Friends of Wellington Park summer festival.
Race organiser Steve Johnson said: "We're really expecting something special this year after being completely washed out by last year's atrocious weather.
"With the rugby club and sports centre facilities available to us, we should now be able to cater for any conditions."
Entry forms are available from Tone Leisure outlets, other sports outlets and from The Albemarle Centre, in Taunton.
