NISSAN has added a third row of seats to the entry-level Pathfinder TREK, making all models in the range seven-seaters as standard.

The entire range now comes with seven seats as standard.

The Pathfinder range starts from £23,995, rising to £30,665 for the Aventura automatic.

The £500 increase on Pathfinder TREK represents exceptional value for two additional seats.

A third row of seats would normally add in excess of £1,000 to the overall price, but TREK gets seven seats for an additional £500, adding even further to the exceptional value of this go anywhere vehicle.

Rather than adding a traditional bench seat, Nissan decided that the third row in the Pathfinder TREK should come as two individual, flexible seats.

They can be positioned both up or both down but also separately, allowing five, six or seven persons to be easily accommodated.

As the second row of seats also folds flat, the vehicle is ideal for carrying large and long loads.

The £23,995 TREK may be the entry level grade but it is generously equipped and comes complete with 17 inch alloy wheels, colour coded bumpers, chrome grille, dual zone climate control air-conditioning, Bluetooth phone integration and a whole suite of safety features such as six airbags (driver, passenger, side and curtain), remote Superlocking with anti-hijack feature and an alarm system.

Perhaps the best safety feature of all is Nissan's electronic switchable ALL MODE 4x4 system.

Selecting auto mode ensures that twowheel drive is used at all times until conditions demand that four-wheel drive is required - keeping fuel consumption to a minimum and traction constantly maintained.

Ensuring the vehicle stays on the correct path is ESP+ which quickly corrects any detected wheel slippage during cornering.

The list doesn't end there.

Add uphill start support', which prevents roll back on pull away by holding the brakes on for a short period of time until the accelerator pedal is activated, and on automatic transmission versions downhill drive support' prevents loss of control on steep and slippery descents.

The seven-seater TREK is now available to order through any Nissan dealer and comes complete with a comprehensive three-year, 60,000-mile warranty.
