THE catering team at Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton have raised over £1,500 for the children's unit and the new cancer centre at the hospital.
The team raised the money by writing and performing their very own pantomime to packed audiences. They also ran a raffle for staff having their Christmas dinner.
Jon Smith, the Deputy Catering Manager at the hospital said: "The team did a remarkable job and were determined from the very start.
"To raise such a large sum of money is a real credit to them - and to the very generous staff at Musgrove.
"They decided as a team to split the money between the Children's unit and the new cancer centre as members of the team have had friends and relatives cared for here."
Babette Fuller, Cancer Services Manager at the Musgrove added: "This was a great gesture by the catering team. Although over 4,000 people work at Musgrove we are all part of a team and the tremendous work that has gone on here shows that.
"We are all very grateful for the work they do every day and the money they have raised."
