THERE has been a morning of reflection in Taunton today (Sunday, November 13).
Taunton Minster - St Mary Magdalene Church - was packed for a civic service to mark the annual Remembrance Sunday.
At the end of the service there was a marching parade through the town centre, with dignitaries taking the salute on the steps of the Old Municipal Buildings, in Corporation Street.
An Act of Remembrance followed in Vivary Park, with a wreath laying ceremony at the war memorial and a two-minute silence in honour of those who paid the ultimate sacrifice in wars.
Rolling road closures were in place for the duration.
