- One person has been airlifted to Southmead Hospital in Bristol after a collision involving three vehicles on the A371 near Shepton Mallet.
- The ambulance service was called to the scene at 1.46pm today (Tuesday, January 3).
- Police were alerted to the incident at 1.55pm and were at the scene throughout the afternoon.
- The accident was cleared and the road re-opened at around 5pm.
