A care home in Minehead is celebrating resounding success at a national awards ceremony.
Dunster Lodge secured over 40 nominations for the Great British Care Awards from professionals, residents and their relatives.
In November 2023, the home clenched the Care Home Employer Award and received high commendation for the Care Home Team Award at the regional ceremonies in Bristol.
On March 22, they travelled to the ICC in Birmingham for the national event.
They achieved second place and were once again highly commended for their remarkable work.
The team at Dunster Lodge was over the moon to bring these accolades back to their facility.
The National Great British Care Awards said: "The whole management team displayed the best qualities of great employers.
"They balance care for staff and residents and this care is recognised in the local community.
"They transcend simple employment, acting as supportive mentors.
"Ready to go the extra mile during challenges, they demonstrate unwavering confidence and remarkable dedication to their team."
Dunster Lodge is a small residential home located in Alcombe, Minehead.
Margaret Hayes is the owner and Darianna Gould is the registered manager.
They also run Dunster Lodge in the Community Ltd, providing person-centred care in people's own homes.
Dunster Lodge in the Community Ltd is rated 'outstanding' by CQC.
