THE man who was arrested after a woman died in a Frome collision earlier this week has been released on conditional police bail pending further enquiries.
At around 11pm on Monday, April 8, a silver Mercedes C220 AMG was in a collision with a silver Volkswagen Golf on the A361 at its junction with the A362.
The driver of the Golf, a woman in her twenties, tragically died at the scene. She was the only occupant of the vehicle.
Formal identification has yet to take place. Her family have been informed.
The Mercedes driver, a man in his fifties, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, drink driving and drug driving.
