A TEAM of runners from a Taunton fitness centre are gearing up to run the Taunton 10k run in September raising money for the County Gazette's 'Cash for Cancer Relief' campaign.
Members of The Academy Personal Fitness Centre at Somerset County Cricket Club have been training hard to prepare for the run, which takes place on Sunday, September 26.
It is the 18th run, which is sponsored by Deane DLO and Taunton Carnival.
But it will be a first for County Gazette reporter Helen Rossiter, who will be taking part in the event with the group, and has been busy collecting sponsorship.
Helen said: "It has been great fun training and getting ready for the run, with lots of hard work.
"I'm determined to complete it, and hope to raise lots of money for our appeal at the same time."
The run leaves Blackbrook Pavillon, heading out towards Stoke St Mary and Haydon, before heading back into Taunton.
