HUNT supporters in Mid Devon outraged by the Government's plans to push through a hunting ban are gearing up for mass protest.
Members and followers of hunts from across the West Country have organised a mass gathering at the Devon County Showground tomorrow (Saturday) night.
They will then travel to London on Wednesday to attend a demonstration outside Parliament when the Hunting Bill looks likely to return.
Rural Affairs Minister Alun Michael this week confirmed that the Government is determined to bring on the hunting ban by invoking rarely used Parliamentary powers to make hunting with dogs illegal, with a possible ban coming into force early next year.
