HUDDLING in a small closet as a 140mph hurricane rips through a town is far from the perfect holiday - but a Wembdon family experienced just that on their trip to Florida.
Alison and Nick Raine and their young sons had enjoyed two weeks visiting Disney Land and Universal Studios - where ironically they even experienced a simulation hurricane.
But after arriving at their final destination near Englewood in Charlotte County on August 12, nothing could have prepared them for the devastation and fear they experienced when hurricane Charley hit.
