A woman driver from Cornwall suffered serious injuries after a car apparently crossed carriageways and collided with her vehicle driven by a 40-year-old Falmouth man. The 43-year-old , from Lostwithiel, was driving a Renault Clio along the A39 near Truro when it was in collision with a VW Golf driven by a 40-year-old Falmouth man. The Golf's driver sustained only minor injuries, but both vehicles were badly damaged and the southbound carriageway of the road was closed for about six hours on Friday.
