A notorious eyesore in Redruth is being demolished to make way for a new multi-million pound development at a site, which has been described as the gateway to the town. Avers Garage, just off the main A30, has stood empty for many years and was destroyed by fire last July. It will be knocked down and replaced by housing, offices and community facilities.
