IT WAS decided that on March 19, 2004, we, the villagers of North Country, after 20 years of a wood shack, would get a new bus shelter. Alas we are still waiting after being told by the powers that be it would take six weeks!
We have since driven through Truro and, low and behold, new bus shelters are being put in place when there was nothing wrong with the ones already there. We also had a traffic census done at the beginning of June when there are no tourists only for highways to shut Portreath road and send all the traffic through our village on a bank holiday!
Is someone at highways having a laugh at our expense? I for one don't find it funny!
