LOCAL swimmer Anthony Stevens flew to Cyprus on Monday with the rest of Britains team for the Paralympic Games which start in Athens on September 18.
The 18-year-old from Burnham Road, Highbridge, is one of Britain's big gold-medal hopes in the S5 category, the fifth most severe disability classification.
He and his father Andy, who coaches him, will be training at a special Great Britain holding camp in Cyprus then will travel just before the Games to Athens, where the Olympics finished last month.
