JOHN Ashton was the overall winner of the Bill Knowles Trophy at Taunton Vale Golf Club with 47 points, which also won him top spot in division three of the competition.
In Division 1 it was Keith Wood who came out on top with 41 points, second was Robert Harris, but only after countback had put him ahead of Tim Holman after both came in with 40 points.
Mark Sly headed the second division with 42 points, Steve Cridge was second with 40 and former club captain Brain Parkes was third with 38 points.
In the Ladies section it was Beryl Richards and June Davidson who won the Joy Atkinson Trophy BB pairs competition recently with 44 points.
