"THE Chard and Ilminster Community Justice Project WILL work" - that's the message scheme supporters have sent out loud and clear this week after critics again sought to undermine the project.
Last week, Chard town and district councillor Dave Bulmer launched yet another attack on the pioneering project, which is funded by the Home Office and has put the Chard and Ilminster area in the national spotlight.
This week supporters rallied to defend the scheme, which aims to bring justice closer to local communities and give members of the public a say in how to try and reform self-confessed criminals.
It is also supported by the Chard and Ilminster News' Bring Justice Home campaign.
