PEOPLE in Wellington who have had their car radios stolen recently are being asked to come forward by police.
The appeal comes after officers seized six radios from the home of a 16-year-old boy.
Wellington PC Kim Davidson made the discovery after arresting the youth for allegedly spraying graffiti in Wellington Park.
During a search of his room the stereos were located as well as a suspected cannabis plant.
PC Davidson said: "The stereo fronts may have been taken from insecure vehicles in Wellington.
"So far we have managed to trace the owners of two of them and a possible third but we still have three to return."
They believe one was taken from George Street and one from a vehicle in Quantock Road.
Police believe some victims may not have reported the thefts to police.
A youth has been bailed pending further enquiries.
Anyone who has had their front of their car stereo stolen recently should call PC Davidson on 0845-4567000.
