THE fourth and last phase of the green household waste collection across Taunton Deane is set to start in October.
Almost 13,000 homes are included and are being sent letters from Taunton Deane Council.
Several roadshows are being held to inform residents what is involved in the scheme, which has dramatically cut the amount of rubbish buried in landfill sites.
Under the SORT IT! initiative, people put out recyclables such as paper, bottles and cans in green boxes and food in brown boxes once a week.
The rest of household waste is collected fortnightly and taken to landfill sites.
