SCHOOLS are closed and there is trouble on the roads today after Somerset was hit by its first heavy snow fall of the winter.

Main roads are clear, but drivers are being asked to take extra caution – especially on the minor roads.

Berry’s Coaches are running limited services to London, while the route through Yeovil and Wincanton has been completely cancelled.

Berry's has also cancelled its school services.

Quantock Motor Service Buses are not running to the following schools: Kingsmead; Heathfield; Taunton Academy; West Somerset (Minehead); Danesfield (Williton).
