SEAVINGTON St Michael's Branston factory is set to increase production after a £250,000 investment in new machinery.

The potatoes producer has installed the two state of the art stainless steel, auger based barrel washers, which can handle 15 tonnes of potatoes each hour, and are set to increase production by around 15%.

General manager Ian Wait said: "We're confident that next year will be one of the busiest ever at Branston and we want to make sure that our production facility is as good as it can possibly be.

"As well as allowing us to handle more potatoes, the new Herbert washers will also maintain our extremely high hygiene and quality standards."
