DRUMMERS, singers, dancers and musicians will join together at South Petherton's David Hall on Tuesday (December 18) to share their talents and take part in an interactive workshop.

The event, Midwinter Mixture, combines music and dance to celebrate the talents of adults with learning disabilities from South Somerset.

The Midwinter Mixture launches Joined Up Music for People in Somerset (JUMPS) and brings together people who have been taking part in workshops through the ArtsXchange project.

Hosts for the day will be Count Me In, a team of drummers, with workshops led by some of the best music leaders in the county.

The event will provide an opportunity for the families and friends of people who have been to ArtsXchange music and dance workshops in Yeovil and Chard to watch and take part in the activities themselves, and meet the creative leaders.

During the event there will be a performance by local young musicians Isobel and Chloe Chousmer; two pieces of new dance from Take Art, as well as a singing workshop with Joanna Harvey; a drum workshop with Count Me In; and a chance to dance to DJ Desi Heights, playing world music versions of Christmas favourites.
