TAUNTON bring their 2018-19 season to a close with their Evening Meeting on Wednesday when the first of the six races on the card is due to go to post at 5.30pm.

This season has seen some hugely exciting action at Taunton and Wednesday’s meeting looks set to continue this trend.

With 53 horses declared, leading trainers Philip Hobbs, Colin Tizzard Kim Bailey and David Pipe all have entries while top jockeys Aidan Coleman, Nico de Boinville, Wayne Hutchinson and Harry Cobden are all booked to ride, so another exciting evening of racing looks to be assured.

In view of the lack of rainfall in recent days, all of the races will be over the hurdles course.

To ensure that racing takes place regular watering has been taking place, and the going is good, good to firm in places.

The weather forecast for Wednesday is showers/light rain but clearing by mid afternoon before racing.

A courtesy coach departs from Taunton Railway Station two hours ahead of the first race and returns 30 minutes after the start of the last.
