TAUNTON Blades' Nat Lewis won his first big senior international title after claiming victory in the DOMtournooi' event in Utrecht, Holland.
The prestigious annual senior sabre event was part of the European Community Cup series, with Nat representing Britain.
Up against top Dutch and Belgian fighters, he made a good start to the day, making and holding top seed position over the two six-fight qualifying rounds.
His opponents in the direct elimination stages from the last 32 on made things interesting, but failed to stop him reaching the last four, where a 15-7 win over Belgium's Thomas Schipper gave him a place in the final.
Fighting rising Dutch star Robert Goossens brought out the best in Nat, and he really opened up, giving a crowd-pleasing display to claim the title 15-9.
