AFTER Taunton Titans' defeat at home at the weekend against Chinnor, head coach Tony Yapp said he was disappointed, writes Richard Walsh.

“It was a disappointing result for us because for 45 minutes we were very good and we were pleased with how we were playing and we were more than a match for Chinnor," he said.

“I think scoring so easily at the start of the second half came back to bite us a little bit, because almost from that moment its like we took a breath and Chinnor got momentum back. We then lost a guy to the bin which was unfortunate and they came back at us a little bit harder."

He added that the players are disappointed as well.

“The boys are really disappointed about it and have already spoken about it in the huddle and said we need to learn from that experience and are better for it.

We will work really hard on Tuesday and Thursday because the players felt that the last 30 minutes wasn’t a true reflection of them as players."

Tony added: “The good thing about this league is you don’t have to wait too long before it comes round again and in seven days time when we go to Bishops Stortford we have the chance to put it right.”
