YEOVIL Town boss Terry Skiverton is resisting the temptation to move on-loan Tottenham Hotspur youngster Ryan Mason up-front from his current central midfield role.

There have been a number of suggestions made by fans that Mason should play-up front alongside Jon Obika - having now scored two great goals in Yeovil's last two fixtures.

The 18-year-old arrived at Huish Park as a striker, but has been playing in a central midfield role for Yeovil since the start of the season.

And Skiverton, speaking to the BBC, said: "I think he's doing a very good job in coming from central midfield and scoring two in three games, so why change it?

"We knew all his attributes, we knew his goalscoring record and we knew all of the positions that he can play. We did try him out in three or four so far this year.

"It's just a case of trying to get him further up the pitch at the moment in a solid formation, without sacrificing our shape."
